Driver Operator / Maintainer are part of the Operations Team working on the On Track Machines (OTMs) across the Irish Rail network.
The operators drive and operate the OTMs as well as perform maintenance tasks during shifts. No prior experience in the rail industry is required as full training in how to drive and operate on the rail network will be provided.
Responsible for the safe movement of OTMs on the Irish Rail network in accordance with the Irish rules and regulations
Operate OTMs (tampers, ballast cleaners, regulators) in accordance with Railway Standards
Responsible for the front line maintenance of machines as well as faults and failures
Work to a safe and competent standard
Maintain route knowledge and adhere to any new standards and training
What you’ll need to succeed
A minimum of 9 years of education (up to Leaving Cert level)
In possession of a Full and Valid road vehicle driving license to be able to drive company vehicles
Company Van and Fuel Card following training
Mobile Phone and Laptop
