A fitter plays a key role as part of the Maintenance Department within Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group Ireland (RSIE).
We currently have a team of 14 electro-mechanical fitters and 4 apprentices maintaining a fleet of 14 OTM machines. A number of new machines are currently being commissioned and will join the working fleet in the near future.
Training and development are fundamental to the success of our fitters in this role. This role can lead to career progression within the function and a crossover to becoming an On Track Machine (OTM) Driver Operator is possible.
Maintain On Track Machine (OTMs) to Manufacturers Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI).
Be proficient in, and carry out as required, the fault finding and subsequent repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic systems associated with the OTM fleet.
Have a flexible approach to work, being prepared to work around a roster that includes some weekends, bank holidays, night work.
Qualification as a Construction Plant Fitter or Electrician with a good safety record.
Successful completion of the recognised apprenticeship.
Hold a full and valid EU driving licence.
Mobility to travel to maintain the fleet.
